Gibbons ’19 Finishes Fourth at National Tennis Competition

May 24, 2017 – Anders Gibbons ’19 recently completed a United States Tennis Association (USTA) National L3 tournament in Las Vegas with great success.  Playing up an age division (18’s), he knocked out the third seed to advance to a fourth place finish. He and his partner won the doubles with wins over the second and fourth seeds.

Anders started competing seriously in tennis when he was in 7th grade and quickly advanced to regular national level play. Though sidelined for part of this year due to injury, he maintains a strenuous daily schedule of training under Brian Park in the High Performance program at Tennis Center Sand Point.  Anders has been selected by the Pacific Northwest USTA to represent the Northwest on National Teams since 2014.

He and his family are grateful for the support shown to him from the staff and his peers at SAAS!
