Girls’ Basketball Wins ECL Championship for Third Straight Season; Boys Finish Second

February 13, 2017 – The Seattle Academy girls’ varsity basketball team won the Emerald City League (ECL) championship for the third straight season finishing undefeated in league at 15-0. The girls, who finished 17-2 overall, enter the playoffs having won nine straight games. They will next play in the Bi-District Championship this Friday, February 17, at Mount Lake Terrace High School at 8 PM. Opponent to be determined.

The boys’ varsity team finished the season in second place in the ECL with a conference record of 9-3. Overall they finished 15-5, closing the season with a six-game winning streak. The boys will next play in the Bi-District Tournament at SAAS this Thursday, February 16, at 7 PM with the opponent to be determined. So come on out! We need your support!

Good luck to both the girls’ and boys’ varsity teams in their quest for the state tournament. Go Cardinals!
