Gode ’14 and GW Vibes Qualify for Semifinals of ICCA

February 15, 2017 – Earlier this month, the Mid-Atlantic Quarterfinals for the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA), were held at the University of Maryland. Jackson Gode ’14 helped lead The GW Vibes, from George Washington University, to a second place finish, qualifying the group for the semifinal round which takes place in Delaware in March. In addition, the GW Vibes won the Outstanding Arrangement Award. Jackson, and fellow GW Vibes member Ryan Lasker, also won the Outstanding Choreography Award.

“It was our first time competing, so we didn’t really know what to expect. We just wanted to go and learn from the other amazing groups.” Jackson reported. “It was a really incredible night for GW Vibes. And shout out to Rhonda (Cinotto) and Anita (Kuroiwa) for their dance classes!”

Congratulations to Jackson, his family, and the entire GW Vibes group. We wish you the best of luck at regionals.
