GRADE MAILING

Friday, December 2

HOLIDAY GIFT BASKETS

November 28 – December 9
Please participate in the Parent Association long-standing tradition of presenting Holiday Gift Bags to all 125+ faculty and staff members. Each family is asked to donate 10 unwrapped items for the baskets to any front desk between November 28 and December 9. Or, if you prefer, you can simply write a check (made payable to the SAAS Parent Association), drop it off at any front desk, and have the committee do the shopping for you. Questions? FINANCIAL AID APPLICATION DEADLINE

Thursday, December 15
Current families who are receiving financial aid and who expect to need financial aid for the 2012-13 academic year need to complete a financial aid application through School and Student Services by Thursday, December 15. Questions? Please contact Jim Rupp at jrupp@seattleacademy.org.

BASKETBALL MANIA

Friday, December 16
First Game Begins at 1 PM COMPLETE SCHEDULE
 SAAS Gymnasium
All families are invited to our annual Basketball Mania celebration on Friday, December 16. Basketball Mania is our opportunity to recognize Middle and Upper School winter athletes, enjoy our community prior to our Winter Break, and of course, watch some great basketball. All basketball teams participate in the event by playing or competing in half-time contests. Concessions and logowear will be available. We hope you can all join us for this great school-wide celebration. If you would like to volunteer to help with banners, set up the gym, or act as a greeter during the event, please contact Sheila Hanrahan at shanrahan@seattleacademy.org.

EMPTY CANS FROM CANNED FOOD?

Send them to us! Spanish teachers Sandra and Rebecca need empty cans from canned food to use for a cultural project they will do with their Middle School Spanish 1 classes during the week of December 12. MOTHER’S PLACE PARKING LOT

Please be reminded that the parking lot of Mother’s Place Quality Day Care is solely for the use of Mother’s Place customers.  Since the announcement of Seattle Academy’s pending purchase of Mother’s Place, there have been several instances of Seattle Academy parents parking in the Mother’s Place lot.  While Mother’s Place is soon to be part of the SAAS family, the day care is and will remain a separate business entity that needs its parking spaces for its families.  Please do not use Mother’s Place parking spaces at any time, now or in the future.

  • December 5: Advanced Dance Showcase RESCHEDULED TO FEBRUARY 13!

  • December 19 – 30: Winter Break. NO CLASSES
  • January 2: Teacher Day. NO CLASSES
