Happy Wednesday SAAS Families,
Due to the holiday, I am sending out the Friday email a little early this week. Here are some important upcoming events to mark on your calendar.

MIDDLE SCHOOL GIRLS’ BASKETBALL TURNOUTS
Monday, November 28
3:15 – 5 PM, Gymnasium
Middle School girls interested in playing basketball should come to school on Monday with court shoes, shorts, and t-shirts. They will meet in the Temple Building after school and walk down to the gym for turnouts. Pickup will be at the gym garage at 5 PM. Questions? SAAS BOOK CLUB
Wednesday, November 30

Come enjoy a conversation with fellow parents about Laura Kastner’s popular teen-raising advice in her new book Getting to Calm: Cool-Headed Strategies for Parenting Tweens and Teens. The conversation will be facilitated by Mary Berry, SAAS Middle School Counselor and Learning Support Coordinator. Reading the book in advance is encouraged but not required. HOLIDAY GIFT BASKETS
November 28 – December 9
Please participate in the Parent Association long-standing tradition of presenting Holiday Gift Bags to all 125+ faculty and staff members. Each family is asked to donate 10 unwrapped items for the baskets to any front desk between November 28 and December 9. Or, if you prefer, you can simply write a check (made payable to the SAAS Parent Association), drop it off at any front desk, and have the committee do the shopping for you. Questions?
