Hello SAAS Families,

This week’s Friday email will focus on the schedule for the opening week of school. Below are the dates, times, and locations as well as some links to other pertinent information regarding the first week.

Monday, August 20
Upper School Fall Athletics Begin
The Upper School athletics calendar will be available next Friday, July 27.

Wednesday, August 29
Middle School New Parent Fall Kick Off
All 6th Grade and NEW Middle School Parents

Thursday, August 30
Student Orientation

  • 6th Grade: 8:15 – 10:45 AM in the Middle School Building (1137 13th Ave).
  • 7th & 8th Grades: 11:30 AM  – 2 PM in the Middle School Building (1137 13th Ave). PLEASE NOTE CORRECTED TIME
  • 9th Grade: 8:15 AM – 3 PM in the Middle School Building (1137 13th Ave).
  • 10th-12th Grades: DO NOT ATTEND

Optional Middle School Student Tours
Families can drop in as they like. This optional event is intended for those Middle School students who might still be feeling a little anxious and would like to look around the Middle School building a little more at their own pace.
10 AM- Noon

6th Grade Fall Athletics Begin After School(7th and 8th Grade Fall Athletics begin on Wednesday, September 5.)
The Middle School athletics calendar will be available next Friday, July 27.

OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR THE FIRST WEEK OF SCHOOL
School Photos
: All students will have their photos taken during the first week for their student ID card and the yearbook. Parents may order photo packages if they wish. The order form will be available in next week’s Friday email.

  • 6th-9th graders will have their photos taken on August 30.
  • 10th graders will have their photos taken on September 7.
  • 11th graders will have their photos taken on September 5.
  • 12th graders will have their photos taken on September 4.

Lunch Program: Details regarding signing up for the lunch program will be provided in next week’s Friday email.
Drop Off and Pick Up Information: Details regarding drop off and pick up will be provided in next week’s Friday email.
