Seattle Protest Activities
November 4, 2017
We have been diligently monitoring protest activities planned by ANTIFA on Saturday, November 4, and the potential for disruption of our SAAS events.  The Antifa (English: /ænˈtiːfə/ or /ˈæntiˌfɑː/)[1] movement is a political movement of autonomous, self-styled anti-fascist groups in the United States.

We have determined, after consultation with many agencies and organizations, that the risk to SAAS is minimal and that our scheduled events will continue as planned (robotics, soccer, and musical).  Estimated protest participation is between 200 to 400 with routes from Seattle City Hall (4th & James) to Westlake Center.   As it is predicted to be confined to this number of protestors in a non-adjacent downtown area, we are optimistic that SAAS will not be directly impacted.

We will continue to monitor and communicate if this situation changes substantially.  Stay safe and enjoy your weekend.
