Reynolds ‘12 and Shier ’13 Named First-Team All-ECL, Three Others Honored

February 17, 2012 – Seattle Academy senior Campbell Reynolds and junior Yaniv Shier were both named First-Team All-ECL, the Emerald City League announced today.  Campbell finished fifth in the ECL in scoring and also led the Cardinals in rebounding and blocked shots. Yaniv finished third in the ECL in scoring, averaging 16 points per game, helping SAAS to a 10-2 conference record and a berth in next week’s state tournament.

Also honored as Second-Team All-ECL athletes were juniors Liat Perlin and Calin Washington as well as sophomore Jeremiah Hobbs.

Congratulations to all five All-Star athletes!

Boys’ Varsity Advances to State Tournament!

On the court last night, the boys’ varsity team defeated Chimacum, 55-50, to advance to the state tournament. The Cardinals will next play tomorrow at noon against Cascade Christian at Mountlake Terrace High School. Tomorrow’s game is for seeding purposes so win or lose Seattle Academy will begin play in the state tournament next Friday, February 24, 2012. Time and place to be determined.
